8 Weeks of Thanksgiving

Joy, it’s always a function of gratitude — and gratitude is always a function of perspective.

If we are going to change our lives, what we’re going to have to change is the way we see.

Finding joy. Digging down deep and discovering gratitiude. This sounds good to me. I want this. I find myself ashamed that most days, I don't really give it a thought. At least, intentionally.

 

But I want to.

 

And I love that I don't have to do it alone.

 

I recently was invited to a facebook group called "8 Weeks of Thanksgiving".  Whose goal is to practice the discipline of thankfulness and gratitude in the 8 weeks between Oct 1st and Thanksgiving Day.

By sending out two cards/or emails of sincere gratitude to someone that we know per week.

So I challenge you....join in. Join with some of us other mops moms, and people around the country, and lets get our hearts mindful of thanksgiving. Let discover crazy Joy!

We are selling tickets for a chance to win this brand new unopened tablet. For spec information, click on the link above.

The winner will be drawn at the November 6th MOPS meeting at 7:30pm!

Any money we make on this fundraiser over the cost of the tablet will go towards our Outreach fund, which enables us to donate to the Pregnancy Support Center, COPE House and more!

To purchase a ticket via debit/credit card, visit our "Donations" page. You can click on the $5 Donation button for 1 ticket or the $10 Donation button for 3 tickets. We will use your address to mail out your tickets!  You do NOT need to be present to win.

Tuesday, October 16th we'll be doing session two of our Sacred Parenting series. Followed by a team Pumpkin Carving Contest. Pumpkins provided :)

End-of-Summer BBQ

Up for Some Putt Putt??

Moms and kids (ok, husbands too) playing putt putt!

We'll be heading up to Pirate Cove Mini Golf in Osage Beach.
Saturday, August 11th at 10am.

Cost is $8 per adult, 7.50 for kids 4 - 12, kids 3 and under are free.

Lunch after at Culvers for those who want to go.

Join other MOPS moms/children for a playdate at the park! Every Tuesday morning at 9 am.

Its a very laid-back playdate...come this week but can't come next week? That ok!

Crazy trying to get out of the house, running 20 min late? Thats ok!

This is just a relaxed chance to get out of the house, let the kids play, while you get some grown-up talk with other Moms :)

 

 

We will also be using this time to share MOPS with new moms! Come help us pass out fliers, balloons, snacks, ice water, and make new friends at the park.
